What each of you needs to do
Most of the work happens on our side. Here is everything we need from the two of you.
Groom · DenmarkNothing to request from Denmark
Send us a colour scan of your passport. We take care of the application in Denmark for you.
Bride · ThailandOne document: a single status certificate
Requested in person at your district office. We come with you and collect everything else.
Sign, then attend registration day
Sign the power of attorney and declaration. On the day, we provide the interpreter and witnesses.

Sign and prepare Week 1
You sign the service agreement, power of attorney and declaration. The bride requests her single status certificate; we collect the remaining documents in English.

Thai documents legalised Weeks 1–3
Legalised at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then at the Royal Danish Embassy in Bangkok, as Familieretshuset requires.

Application to Familieretshuset Weeks 3–5
We file online and pay the fee. With a complete file, processing takes about 5 working days. The approval is then sent from Denmark to the embassy in Bangkok.

Embassy certificate in Thai Weeks 5–7
The embassy issues the certificate the Amphur needs. We then translate the groom's passport and legalise both at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, within one week.

Marriage registration Week 8
The week after your documents are ready, you both attend the district office with us. Registration is completed the same day, and you leave with your marriage certificate.
