Canada visa questions
Does ฿13,990 really include the visa fee?
Yes. It includes the IRCC fee, required translation and certification, the cover letter and the whole application. No hidden costs.
How is the Super Visa different from a visitor visa?
The Super Visa is for parents or grandparents of Canadian citizens or PRs. It allows stays of up to 5 years at a time (a visitor visa allows up to 6 months), multiple entry, and requires health insurance from a Canadian insurer of at least CAD 100,000.
Where can Super Visa insurance be bought?
From a Canadian insurance company, with at least CAD 100,000 coverage valid for at least 1 year — ordinary travel insurance doesn't qualify. The client buys it before applying, and we can recommend suitable providers.
Are biometrics needed every time?
Usually yes, in person at VFS Global in Thailand — but if biometrics were given to Canada within the last 10 years, they may not be needed again. We check, and we go with them on the day.
How long does it take?
Around 4–8 weeks, depending on the visa type and IRCC queues. We recommend applying at least 3 months before travel.
What if the visa is refused?
We lodge a second application free of charge, including the visa fee and translations — nothing extra to pay.
We don't live in Hua Hin — can you still help?
Yes. We're based in Hua Hin but serve clients all over Thailand. Everything can be handled online, and we go to the VFS centre with the applicant on biometrics day.
