Ireland visa questions
Can a Schengen or UK visa be used to enter Ireland?
No. Ireland isn't in the Schengen Area and issues its own visas separately from the UK, so an Irish visa is needed. If the trip covers both the UK and Ireland, the ฿27,990 bundle is the best value.
Single or Multiple — which should we choose?
If they'll enter Ireland once and fly home, Single is enough. If the trip leaves Ireland for another country and comes back, request Multiple. The officer decides which visa is issued.
Are embassy fees really included?
Yes — the visa fee and the embassy's communications fee, plus translations, the cover letter and the whole application.
How long does it take?
The embassy states around 6–8 weeks for tourist and family visits and around 2–4 weeks for business visas. We recommend starting at least 3 months before travel.
Does the applicant have to go to the embassy?
Irish visas are submitted at the Embassy of Ireland in Bangkok by appointment. We book it, prepare the file and go with them on the day.
Does an Irish visa cover Northern Ireland?
No. Northern Ireland (e.g. Belfast and the Giant's Causeway) is part of the UK, so a UK visa is needed too — the UK + Ireland bundle covers both.
What if the visa is refused?
We re-apply for free, including the second-round fees, after analysing the reasons and strengthening the case.
We don't live in Hua Hin — can you still help?
Yes. We're based in Hua Hin but serve clients all over Thailand. Everything can be handled online, and we go to the embassy with the applicant on submission day.
