Common Questions
Canada Visa FAQ
What makes the Super Visa different from a regular visitor visa?
The Super Visa is exclusively for parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents. It allows stays of up to 5 years per visit (vs. 6 months for a standard visa), is multiple entry, and renewable. It also requires Canadian health insurance with a minimum coverage of CAD 100,000.
Do I need to provide biometrics every time I apply?
Generally yes — you must attend VFS Global in Thailand in person. However, if you have already provided biometrics to Canada within the last 10 years, you may not need to repeat the process. We'll verify this for you.
How long does processing take?
Typically 4–8 weeks depending on the visa type and current IRCC processing volumes. We recommend applying at least 3 months before your intended travel date.
Where do I get the health insurance for a Super Visa?
It must be purchased from a Canadian insurance provider — not a standard travel insurance policy. Minimum coverage is CAD 100,000 with at least 1 year validity. We can recommend suitable providers to help you find the right option.
What happens if my visa is refused?
We resubmit your application at no extra charge — including the visa fee and translation. You pay absolutely nothing more.
