Before you use our service
Steps You Handle First
We guide you through every step — booking appointments, preparing documents, and advising at each stage. But you will need to attend the relevant embassy in person. Once all documents are ready, hand them to us and we take care of the rest.
Example — Norway (most complex)
Other nationalities typically have fewer steps — we'll advise you on exactly what's required for yours.
Apply for CNI via Skatteetaten (Norway)
Apply online via Skatteetaten.no using BankID — state that the certificate is for use in Thailand. Skatteetaten automatically forwards it to the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (UD) for legalisation. We guide you through this step.
Royal Thai Embassy, Oslo — CNI legalisation
Your CNI (legalised by UD) must be stamped by the Royal Thai Embassy in Oslo before it can be used in Thailand. We prepare all required forms and supporting documents.
Not able to travel to Oslo or send documents yourself? We offer this service on your behalf.
฿12,500 — Find out more →Norwegian Embassy Bangkok — CNI legalisation + Marriage Application
Personal attendance is mandatory — no proxy accepted. The embassy legalises your CNI and issues the Marriage Application on the same day. We book your appointment and prepare all documents in advance.
⚠️ The Marriage Application requires 2 Norwegian reference persons (full name, address, phone number). We'll advise you on how to prepare this.
We translate documents and legalise at Thai MFA
We translate your CNI and Marriage Application into Thai by a certified translator, then legalise at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs — included in the package price.
We coordinate the district office and attend with you on registration day
We book the appointment at Hua Hin District Office, prepare the full document set, and accompany both of you on the day — completed in one visit.
We certify your marriage certificate for status update abroad Free
After registration, we certify your Thai marriage certificate so you can update your status in your home country — free for all customers who register with us.
Apostille is not yet valid in Thailand
Your home authority may tell you that Apostille is now accepted in Thailand — this is not yet the case. Thailand approved accession to the Apostille Convention in December 2025 but it is not yet in force. The earliest it could take effect is mid-2026. Until then, all foreign documents must still be legalised by the Royal Thai Embassy in your home country following the existing process.
Certificate of No Impediment (CNI)
An official government document confirming you are legally free to marry — required by Thai district offices for all foreign nationals marrying in Thailand.
All nationalities — both partners must attend in person
For CNI appointments at any embassy in Thailand, both you and your Thai partner must attend in person — no proxy is accepted. Embassy staff will verify documents from both parties, including original passports and the Thai partner's ID card. An interview or sworn declaration is typically required before the document is issued.

Common Questions
Marriage Registration FAQ
Why does Group B cost more than Group A?
Countries in Group B have more complex document legalisation requirements — including certified translation by sworn translators and a more involved Apostille process compared to Group A nationalities.
How far in advance should I start preparing documents?
If your CNI can be obtained from the embassy in Thailand, 1–2 weeks is usually sufficient. If it must be obtained from your home country, allow 4–12 weeks. We recommend starting at least 3 months before your intended date.
What does the custom-made marriage certificate booklet look like?
It's a high-quality leather-bound booklet with both names engraved — a beautiful keepsake and a practical document holder for official use.
What if I was previously divorced?
A certified divorce certificate from your home country is also required, following the same legalisation process as the CNI. We'll advise you on exactly what's needed for your nationality.
Will my Thai marriage be legally recognised in my home country?
Yes — in most cases a properly registered Thai marriage is recognised internationally. As part of our service, we handle the post-registration certification so you can officially update your status back home.
